So these two items both belong to the fantastic Malika but I am obsessed with them and want some of my own.
On the bottom is a American Apparel dress. On top is a denim button up. It is so comfy.

They say you should invest in classics, so that's what I'm doing.

Hat: made by me (one of my first crochet projects, senior year of high school!  I didn't use a pattern, I just went with it.)

Coat: Marc Jacobs, (wool, lined in silk!  I honestly don't know why everything isn't lined in silk.  It really ought to be.)

Jeans: Citizens of Humanity (which you can't really see but in case you thought I was going commando - I wasn't.)

Boots: Frye (I've had these for a long time and I love them more and more each season.)

Some Trees

These are amazing: each
Joining a neighbor, as though speech
Were a still performance.
Arranging by chance

To meet as far this morning
From the world as agreeing
With it, you and I
Are suddenly what the trees try

To tell us we are:
That their merely being there
Means something; that soon
We may touch, love, explain.

And glad not to have invented
Some comeliness, we are surrounded:
A silence already filled with noises,
A canvas on which emerges

A chorus of smiles, a winter morning.
Place in a puzzling light, and moving,
Our days put on such reticence
These accents seem their own defense.
